Vitaiso — PS Vita Models Guide | vitaiso.net
A spec-by-spec table of both handhelds and the TV-based variant: screen, resolution, thickness, weight, storage, charging, wireless and launch year.
Sony released exactly two handheld PS Vita models: the PCH-1000 and the PCH-2000. A third device, the PlayStation TV (VTE-1000), belongs to the same platform but is TV-based rather than handheld. There is no PS Vita 3000.
Both handhelds use a 5-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 960 x 544 pixels. The PCH-1000 renders that image on an OLED panel; the PCH-2000 uses an LCD panel. The picture size and sharpness are the same, so the panel choice is about character rather than resolution.
The bodies differ measurably. The PCH-1000 is 18.6 mm thick and weighs 260 g in its Wi-Fi-only form; the 3G variant adds a cellular radio and weighs 279 g. The PCH-2000 is 15 mm thick and weighs 219 g, making it the lightest handheld in the family.

Storage and charging separate the two handhelds in daily use. The PCH-1000 has 0 GB of usable built-in storage and charges through a proprietary Vita connector. The PCH-2000 includes 1 GB of internal memory and charges through a standard micro-USB port.
Performance is not a differentiator: the PCH-2000 is not more powerful than the PCH-1000, and both run the same games at the same performance. Both handhelds carry Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1.
The PlayStation TV is the TV-based variant and does not replace either handheld for portable play. If you play on a television, it is the relevant option; if you play on the move, it is not.
